A cedar tree falls into the Mediterranean, travels through the Atlantic, and finally arrives in Washington DC. This is the fundamental concept of Driftwood Kitchen, the newest addition to the rapidly expanding H Street corridor. At the end of it’s journey, it’s no longer cedar, but its been weathered and changed into Driftwood. The writing within the “D” of our logo translates directly as “Our Home,” an ideal that we value and uphold.
With a focus on Modern American food, Driftwood Kitchen borrows from the many different flavor profiles of the culinary traditions based throughout the Mediterranean. The result is food made with attention to detail; not just the best ingredients that we can find but showcasing the products that our local and regional farms have to offer.
At our core, Driftwood Kitchen is seasonal, ingredient driven, delicious food and cocktails from passionate young minds.
